Guided by our desire for a sustainable environment, BEST has been committed to measuring and offsetting its carbon footprint since 2007. Since the start of this program, we have offset approximately 10,000 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to the removal of 2,175 cars from the road. We financially offset our carbon footprint and fund projects to reduce greenhouse emissions.

In addition, we have implemented an Environmental Policy that incorporates environmental considerations into each step of our operations. We have a Green Cleaning Policy in place, which requires purchasing environmentally friendly chemicals, equipment, supplies, and systems. At all of our offices, we use Energy Star-rated appliances and environmentally friendly lighting, electronics, HVAC systems, monitors, TVs, servers, toilets, low-flow faucets, and window shading. The BEST company vehicles have a lower carbon footprint due to fuel efficiency.

BEST strives to create a waste-free world. We provide our team with the knowledge and training to make environmentally-sound decisions in the workplace and communicate the results of our environmental performance internally and externally on a regular basis. Our team members are educated on recycling and composting, as well as the environmental benefits of both. We make sure that they can categorize disposable items into different waste streams reducing the amount of waste sent to landfills.

We also develop and implement waste diversion plans for our clients to help them achieve their sustainability goals. Our efforts toward environmental sustainability extend to our team members, suppliers, regulators, industry representatives, and the general public. Through social media posts, we encourage everyone to conserve natural resources and minimize the impact of waste generation and energy consumption by reducing, reusing, and recycling.
