From Light Duty to Sales and Content Specialist
I joined BEST in June 2024 as a Light Duty Cleaner, shortly after arriving in Canada as an international student. Like many newcomers, I was learning how to balance work, school, and building a new life in a new country. BEST gave me the flexibility to manage both, and eventually, the opportunity to start building a career here.
During my final semester, with the support of my Site Manager and supervisors, I joined BEST’s HR team for an internship while continuing to work as a cleaner. I took every opportunity to learn, connect with people across the company, and understand more about BEST beyond my own site.
When my internship was coming to an end, I knew I wanted to stay. I started exploring internal opportunities and soon joined the Marketing team as a Technical Writer, bringing together my previous education and my studies in Canada. Today, I have taken another step in my journey as a Sales and Content Specialist, and it still amazes me to look back and see how much has changed in such a short time. What started as a job that helped me balance school and life in a new country has become a career filled with learning, new challenges, incredible people, and opportunities I never imagined when I first joined BEST.
