From October 28 to 30, BEST was proud to be a Platinum Sponsor of the PCAPPA 2026 Conference in Vancouver. Over the three days, we led three sessions and reconnected with facilities leaders from across the Pacific Coast. Thank you to the PCAPPA Board and organizers for creating such a welcoming space to learn and connect.
Jenn Mok, our Director of People and Culture and Livia Valpassos, our Director of Marketing presented “Developing Leaders, Elevating Service” with Langara’s Facility Manager, Nik Roberts. They shared how our 11-year partnership supports recognition, growth and succession.
Jeremy Sawicz, our Director of Sales and Renewals, and Mike Devolin, Director, Facilities Services at Simon Fraser University and PCAPPA board member, led a discussion group on how institutions and service providers can work together through budget pressure and staffing shortages. Jim Southall, our Chief Growth Officer, and Mia Love, Director at Standford University and a PCAPPA Board member, also facilitated a frank conversation about what it really takes to adopt AI and robotics on campus.
Across every session, one idea kept coming up: people make the difference. That holds whether we’re developing future leaders, building stronger partnerships, or introducing new technology, and we plan to keep putting our people first for the next 70 years.
