BEST joins Langara College on Greener Commute Initiatives

Between June 1–5, our BEST team joined Langara College for GoByBike Week BC, a province-wide event that encourages people to swap car trips for bike rides to work, school, and everywhere in between. The celebration peaked on June 4, when our Site Management team helped staff the College's Sustainability Booth. There, they shared simple, high-impact tips students and faculty can use around campus; from waste diversion and reduce/reuse/recycle habits to greener ways to get around and decrease our carbon footprint.

Run by the GoByBike BC Society, the week invited British Columbians to log their kilometres and see the greenhouse gases they save, proof that everyday cycling adds up. Partnering with Langara reflects what GoByBike has championed since its start in 1995: that getting around on two wheels is good for our health, our wallets, and the planet. We're proud to ride alongside them.

However, this partnership started way back: BEST has held a contract with Langara since 2015 and has supported every one of the College's sustainability initiatives in the years since. We're proud to keep riding alongside them toward a lower-carbon and more ecofriendly campus.
