We understand the critical role that Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) plays in creating a thriving workplace. As part of our TTBW (Teams the BEST Way!) program, we have recently placed a strong emphasis on these essential principles. The TTBW program is designed to help managers improve team dynamics, solve issues, and drive productivity in all situations. The DEI focused sessions provide our managers and leadership with the tools and knowledge necessary to promote inclusive practices across the organization.
In the most recent session, participants explored key topics such as the difference between equity and equality, the positive impact of diversity on team dynamics and productivity, and the importance of acknowledging underrepresented groups. Engaging breakout discussions allowed managers and leadership to reflect on their own practices and share valuable insights.
A major takeaway from this session was recognising that while many of our sites already embrace DEI principles, there is still room for growth, especially in addressing unintentional biases. This has strengthened our commitment to continuous learning and education in this area.
This initiative marks just the beginning of our journey. As we continue DEI training, we are excited about what lies ahead and remain committed to deepening our understanding and refining our practices.
