Orange Shirt Day at BEST
BEST Service Pros will be celebrating the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (commonly called Orange Shirt Day) on September 30th. The day is meant to commemorate the residential school experience, to witness and honour the healing journey of the survivors and their families, and to commit to the ongoing process of reconciliation.
BEST has taken the initiative to encourage all of our corporate team members to wear orange shirts on September 30, and starting September 27 until October 1, we will be using special orange backgrounds for every meeting. Through holding these events, it is BEST's intention to create awareness and show our support for the children and communities that have been affected by residential schools.
This annual celebration is an opportunity to foster meaningful discussions in which we can all become more aware and create bridges with each other for reconciliation, reflecting upon the effects of the residential schools and the legacy they have left behind.
