Looking back on one year of COVID-19

March 11, 2021, marked a significant anniversary for Canada and the world: the emergence of COVID-19 as a global threat. While Canadians and their businesses continue to face challenges as a result of the pandemic, BEST is proud to be able to do our part in positively impacting people’s lives by creating healthy and safe spaces for our clients and the people they serve.

When the World Health Organization declared COVID-19 to be a global pandemic, we quickly adapted to the situation and implemented measures to prevent viral exposure through our ‘Cleaning for Health’ program. This program addressed and enhanced cleaning frequencies, strict cleaning protocols for disinfection, social distancing, and innovation to ensure a space was free of disease.

The advanced measures that we implemented not only protected our clients and BEST staff, but were also well-received by our clients across Canada, in the form of positive feedback and ‘thank you’ notes. However, we know that the greatest praise must be reserved for BEST’s heroic frontline workers, who have been vital to keeping our sites to the healthy standards required in a pandemic.

BEST will continue to be an active participant in stopping the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, and we look forward to working with our clients to ensure their spaces are clean and safe for everyone to enjoy.
