BEST Celebrates World Kindness Day!

This week, BEST is celebrating World Kindness Day, a special occasion that always fills us with excitement as we proudly honour our commitment to creating a positive impact on people’s lives—something we strive for every day of the year! We got a head start in celebrating the occasion last Friday through our participation in the Union Gospel Mission’s Day of Meals in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside. For the past 12 years, BEST has collaborated with the Union Gospel Mission (UGM) on charitable projects that allow us to live by our values and improve the lives of struggling individuals. We were thrilled to continue this collaboration and participate in valuable social responsibility initiatives once again.

The UGM works to better the circumstances of those experiencing homelessness, addiction, mental illness, and other serious challenges. This year, BEST donated $5,500 to the UGM to support Vancouverites dealing with food and housing insecurity by providing resources like affordable housing and shelter, recovery programs, and meals. In addition to our donation, BEST team members joined the UGM onsite last week to prepare and serve hundreds of meals to those in need.

BEST has a long history of giving back to local charities, and we’re thrilled to be able to continue our annual collaboration with the UGM. Seeing the looks of gratitude on the faces of the people our team members served helped power us through a full day of volunteering, and we already can’t wait to give back again next year!
