March 26 – April 1 marks this year’s National Cleaning Week! This week is designed to highlight the value of a clean and safe environment. BEST wants to take this opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the hard work of our frontline team. Our frontline staff continues to step up the challenge of creating clean and safe spaces for our clients and our communities. Proper cleaning and disinfection can reduce virus concentrations by 85.4%. Our frontline team members play a key role in ensuring the safety of our clients and their stakeholders.

This year, we want to encourage all businesses and organization to take the time to appreciate their janitorial staff! We thank all janitorial workers for their commitment to excellence and to protecting the health and safety of others.

In addition to appreciating the work of your janitorial staff, National Cleaning Week is also a great opportunity to take active steps to make a positive impact on your home, your community, and the environment. We encourage all of you to take steps that promote cleanliness and hygiene. Here are some ways you can participate in National Cleaning Week:

1. Do a deep cleaning of your home. Declutter your living space and get rid of items you no longer need.

2. Clean and organize your closet. Donate items you no longer need to your local charity!

3. Help pick up trash around your neighbourhood.

4. Research your local hauler’s recycle guideline to make sure you are sorting your waste correctly.
