Happy International Day of Charity!

On September 5, we recognized International Day of Charity, a day designated by the United Nations with the purpose of sensitizing and mobilizing people, NGOs, and stakeholders all around the world to help others through volunteer and philanthropic activities.

At BEST, we are committed to our purpose of making a positive impact in people’s lives. Since 2012, we’ve volunteered at the Day of Meals, organized by the Union Gospel Mission (UGM), where we held a clothing drive for donations, as well as an internal fundraiser that raised a total of $9,000. The UGM serves communities and helps those in need, aiding programs like rental assistance, housing outreach, and the new Women and Families Centre in Downtown Vancouver.

For nine consecutive years, we’ve supported thousands of BEST Service Pros frontline team members and their spouses, children, and grandchildren through our Ulf von Dehn Memorial Educational Grant. The grant encourages more employees to pursue further education and creates a path of opportunity for our team members to grow their careers at BEST.

BEST knows that these past years have been challenging for all of us, and it has made our mission of positively impacting people’s lives more important to us than ever before. By choosing to support charities in our communities, we can all play a crucial role in making this world a better place and creating a larger impact, starting with supporting the members of your community that need it the most.
