Pink Shirt Day at BEST - Standing up to Bullying

February 23, 2022
.

Today, February 23, is Pink Shirt Day, in which Canadians wear pink to raise awareness about bullying and take part in initiatives to help create a more inclusive world. We're committed to taking a stand against bullying not just today but every day. Our company's purpose is to create a positive impact on people's lives, and we always encourage an environment of trust and respect among our team members, customers, and the communities in which we operate.

Bullying can present itself in many ways. It can come in the form of aggression, threats, intimidation, and harassment. It is not limited to children and youth but can be experienced well into adulthood.

At BEST, all team members receive training in supporting and respecting the diversity and differences of all people and how to speak up against acts of bullying towards ourselves and others. Today, we reinforced our training and discussed examples of bullying and how to prevent and deal with bullying in the workplace.

All efforts to combat bullying can change what has previously been seen as acceptable in our workplaces, communities, and society as we all strive to do better.
