BEST Achieves GBAC STAR™ Service Accreditation

We are proud to announce that we have attained the gold standard for facilities cleaning of the Global Biorisk Advisory Council® (GBAC) STAR™ accreditation. The GBAC, a division of the worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA, now provides the criteria for BEST to implement the most stringent onsite protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious diseases prevention at our clients’ sites.

GBAC STAR™ is the cleaning industry’s only outbreak prevention, response, and recovery accreditation. GBAC helps BEST keep protocols and procedures updated, provide expert-led training, and assess our company’s readiness for biorisk situations. The program also verifies that BEST implements best practices to help our clients prepare for, respond to, and recover from viral outbreaks and pandemics. To achieve GBAC STAR™ accreditation, BEST was required to demonstrate compliance with the program’s 20 core elements, ranging from standard operating procedures and risk assessment strategies to personal protective equipment, emergency preparedness, and response measures.

According to our president, Bruce Taylor, the GBAC STAR accreditation helps ensure BEST continues to protect the health and wellness of its clients and their stakeholders. “GBAC certifies our training process that assures our cleaning and disinfecting processes are getting the safety results at the highest industry level,” he said.
