BEST Participates in ShakeOut BC Day!

BEST Service Pros and its team participated in the International ShakeOut Day, which typically happens the last Thursday in October. The ShakeOut drill is a simple and useful practice for earthquake safety that teaches participants how to stay safe in different earthquake situations. British Columbia has a higher risk of dealing with a potential earthquake compared to other provinces in Canada because of where our fault lines exist. Coinciding with BEST's core values, we are empowered to better understand the effective way of BC’s earthquake prevention and risk management.

The three safe practices recommended by ShakeOutBC (Drop, Cover, and Hold On) were demonstrated during our earthquake drill. BEST also reviewed and updated emergency preparedness plans and supplies and took this opportunity to secure spaces to prevent any future damage and injuries.
