BEST and Team Members Raise $9,000 for the UGM

Every year since 2012, BEST’s team members have volunteered at the Day of Meals organized by the Union Gospel Mission (UGM)  This year, due to COVID-19, it was not possible to hand out meals in person, but our team members still found ways to help.

We organized a Clothing Drive at our head office to provide warmth and comfort to people living on the streets. We also promoted an internal fundraiser for the institution totalling $9,000 from the company and team members!

Yesterday we received a very kind ‘thank you’ letter from the UGM that warmed our hearts:

“These are truly gifts of hope for people who often feel there is no hope left! This is your highest donation total to date and since beginning your Day of Meals program in 2012, you and your staff have donated $62,980. THANK YOU!”

The UGM serves communities and helps those in need and aids programs like Rental Assistance, Housing Outreach, and the new Women and Families Centre in Downtown Vancouver.
