A Day of Meals

This week the BEST Service Pros and BEST Shredding teams got into the Christmas spirit to bring some joy and food to the Vancouver community.  As part of our efforts to give back to the community, each year BEST supports the Union Gospel Mission during the holiday season.

It was a great opportunity for us to give back to our community, enjoy our time growing as a team and most importantly see the smiling faces of those who we were able to feed.  The Day of Meals Program at UGM is a program in which a company provides all of the food necessary to feed visitors for an entire day.  This year, through three meals, BEST Served meals to over 700 people and in addition, through the efforts of each of our team members we raised an additional $3000 to be put towards the UGM Women & Families Centre.  This is close to our hearts as is provides support to vulnerable women and disadvantages children in the Downtown Eastside.

“As someone who doesn’t have family to celebrate holidays with, coming to UGM for a meal means the world. The food is always good, but best of all; it’s a time where I know I’m not alone.”

We are looking forward to bringing another meal next year and making steps toward the betterment of each persons life in our community.
