How BEST Maintains Safety Compliance
At BEST, ensuring our safety standards and requirements align with Canada’s provincial legislation is highly important. We utilize Certificate of Recognition (COR) solutions to develop a tailored safety program for our operations.
The program’s purpose is to ensure all of our operations are performed efficiently and safely. COR is a voluntary incentive program we implement, not just for its many benefits, but because it’s becoming an expected standard across the janitorial industry in British Columbia and Alberta. We have two types of audits, internal and external (each completed every three years) which include documentation policy review, submission investigation, site observation, and employee interviews from senior leadership and downwards.
Our safety audits look at specific areas from the safety program to highlight weaknesses, validate BEST’s operations, or find strengths that can be leveraged for the organization’s benefit. This is the continuous improvement cycle that our health and safety team performs, and we are proud to complete it while remaining at the top of our industry.
